In the final of the World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championship held on March 10 in Edmonton, Canada, Japan’s duo of Yuna Miura (Sapporo International University) and Kaito Fujii (SC Karuizawa Club Junior) edged out Canada 6–5 to claim the gold medal.
Speaking through the Japan Curling Association, Miura said, “We prioritized communication between the two of us and never gave up until the very end.” Fujii added, “I hope to apply what I learned here to my future curling career and keep improving.”
