In Game 2 of the CBA playoffs quarterfinals on the evening of May 10, defending champions Zhejiang Guangsha staged a resilient performance on the road, defeating Shanxi 86-81 to even the best-of-three series at 1-1. The victory forces a decisive Game 3 back in Guangsha’s home court.

After dropping Game 1 at home, Guangsha found themselves in a must-win situation. Three key factors propelled them to victory: dominant offensive rebounding in the second half, steady free-throw shooting from guard Brown, and a resurgence from star forward Hu Jinqiu. Hu recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, providing much-needed interior scoring.
Guard Tuck also played a crucial role, easing the scoring burden on Brown. Although Brown struggled from the field, hitting just 3 of 15 shots, he still managed 19 points by converting 12 of 14 free throws. Guangsha’s ability to grab multiple offensive boards in the second half gave them crucial second-chance opportunities, helping them maintain a slim lead even as Shanxi mounted several comeback attempts.
With the series now tied, Guangsha will return home for Game 3, where they will hold the advantage. The defending champions have momentum on their side as they look to advance to the semifinals.
